Mobico
Thanks again to Motorola and Mobico (previously known as Provenco), when you cross the finish line of Ports of Auckland Round the Bays, the barcode on your runner-number bib will be scanned by a rugged Motorola handheld computer and transmitted to the master race computer via a Motorola WiFi network. In the old days, the finish of Ports of Auckland Round the Bays marked the beginning of weeks of work for race organisers, manually counting all 30,000 to 50,000 finish results. Mobico first provided this innovative solution in 2004.
"Mobico's solution means competitors can see results on the race website within two days," say the organisers. "It is much faster and smarter."
Watercare Services
Watercare Services Limited is proud to be involved with Ports of Auckland Round the Bays for the twelfth consecutive year. Watercare provides all water stops along the route, which are manned by Watercare friendly staff and volunteers.
