Southern Cross Round the Bays is New Zealand’s funnest fun run series. With epic entertainment at the start line, every 500m along the course and at the finish line, it’s actually impossible not to have fun! We also love seeing people get dressed up – what will your team wear? For 2026, the theme goes ELEMENTAL — a celebration of the wild natural forces that shape Aotearoa.
3. For all ages and fitness stages
This inclusive event brings together everyone from families pushing kids in prams, to Harry Hardouts, competitive and non-competitive participants and everyone in between. Your team members soak up the views and take on the flat 8.4km course at their own pace. In Wellington, we also have the 21km Half Marathon for those looking for a challenge and to push their limits.

We all know that health and wellness is a priority, but it doesn’t have to be boring! Round the Bays is great for the mind, body and spirit. Get active and have fun with your team mates. What better way to spend a Sunday morning!
5. Everyone can take part
Do one, do two, do all three! With three locations in the series, you can create one team or multiple teams across the motu. Reluctant team mates? That’s okay too! They can play their part by helping set up your hospo site.

Celebrate and soak up those team-tastic vibes after you’ve all crossed the finish line! With Hospo Packages from DIY through to all-inclusive – pick a package that works for your team. Each site fits around 30 people, so book as many sites as you need and don’t forget to lock in your team’s lunch when you sign up online.
