Here's everything you need to know for race morning in Wellington.
Head to Bib Collection before race day. Pick up your individual or team's bibs, grab your official Southern Cross Round the Bays merch, and check out our event partners' activations for giveaways, prizes and samples whilst you're there.
Bring along your confirmation email with the QR code included. This will be sent to you during race week. No bibs will be posted out.
Team Managers can collect bibs for the whole crew in one go! Just remember to let your team members know that you're picking up bibs on their behalf.

Hnry Stadium is a short walk from Welligton CBD. Head to the Wellington Railway Station and take the elevated walkway directly to the stadium entrance.
There's also FREE limited 15 minute parking on the Upper Plaza at Hnry Stadium, with additional paid parking in the Hnry Stadium carpark via Waterloo Quay.

Race Day Info TentIf you have any questions on race morning, please visit our Info Tent located in Waitangi Park, corner of Herd Street. Open from 6:30am - 9.00am. Please allow at least 30 minutes as there will be long queues.
Arrive at the start line at least 30 minutes early, and ensure you’re in the right start group location before the gun goes off.
Note: the 5.5km family shortcut isn’t a separate event - join your start group for the 8.4km field and peel off onto the shorter route on the day if you need it. Look out for the 5.5km signs!

Finishers' festival kicks off at the finish line in Kilbirnie Park with live music, food vendors and giveaways
First free event shuttle buses leave the finish line
Buses run continuously from 10.00am - 2.00pm back to Courtney Place and to Wellington Railway Station on request (wait times will increase during peak times)
Show your bib to the event staff before you board the event shuttle bus and enjoy your FREE ride

Last event shuttle buses leave Kilbirnie Park
Drop your bag at the start line and collect it when you cross the finish line. Simply tear the gear tag from your bib and attach it to your bag – the tag and your bib share the same number, making your bag easy to locate.
Please note: no valuables, backpacks or handbags. Gear Drop closes strictly at 7.30am for the Half Marathon and 8.30am for the 8.4km Fun Run.
Public transport is the easiest way in and out on the day - parking near the start and finish is limited and roads will be closed for the event.
Free event buses are available from Kilbirnie Park back to the city - alighting at Courtney Place, and Wellington Railway Station on request.
Event shuttle buses operate 10:00am - 2.00pm, wait times will increase during peak times.
We recommend bringing your own drink bottles with you, but we will have a handful of water stations along the course for those who need to quench their thirst - check the course map for exact locations once confirmed for 2027.
Once you cross the finish line, you’ll receive your all-important finisher’s medal. Then, please keep moving, there will be lots of other participants behind you.
Remember to arrange a specific meeting spot with your friends and whānau, enjoy the music, food, freebies and entertainment waiting for you at the finishers' festival.
Head to the Information Tent at the finish line, or contact us afterwards with your name, bib number, and let us know what you’ve lost.
